The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek

Just finished a wonderful read. Took me to a region and through history, I wasn’t aware of. It’s also my first read by the author whose writing I love. An exciting read, this fictional piece takes you deep into Kentucky and Roosevelt’s Pack Horse Library Project and the courageous  “book women” while telling the story of the blue-skinned people of the region and the extreme prejudice they faced. Filled with hope, it’s a perfect read for our times and a great reminder we are all one no matter our different colors.
